but seriously - they sold circa 9 blue R1's to every white and red one which is why they changed significantly for '99. then the red & white ones became rare' and suddenly people want them.
I agree with you,,For me that was the best blue colour ever on a R! and i made the right choice then,,but money wise you need the white one now
There’s still money to be made on a white/red R1. There’s so many examples around that have tacky bolt on parts that can be had cheap and returned to standard for profit. I’ve just sold a cat c example for £3500 that I bought for £2k a couple of years ago. I’ve still got my other mint example that I rescued from a right mess 4 years ago. Prices are still rising as well.
2012 50th Anniversary R1s also going up in value. Missed a cracking low miles one last year for £8k, struggle to get a low miles standard one now for that money.
