  1. My new toy. Dedicated track machine. Not a Ducati but it is a V-twin.
First time out will be Donington 26th March
Thinking I'll be better off changing from race shift pattern to road.

  4. Nice, why change the shift? You'll be fine (that's what I've told myself anyhoo when the TB gets on the road), no foundation for my statement but how hard can it be o_O:upyeah:

  6. Sorted - it was the race pattern thumb brake that did it :worried:

  7. Leave the race pattern. Once you ride it, you'll understand why and not even think about it while on the bike.

  8. Seems like theres plenty in favour of race pattern. I'll leave it where it is for now then :upyeah:

  9. these are friggin great bikes, I suggest a 550 transplant, and give it too me. I too would struggle to have bikes with a mix of race and road shifts. I would blow one up, if not the other.

  12. Hopefully the slipper clutch will consume some of the pain when I shift the wrong way :D

  14. I think I've done it twice, and both times the preferable way (changing to a higher gear instead of a lower gear) :upyeah:

If it had been the other way round, I'm sure the slipper would have taken care of it.

  20. You might get it in to 6th gear before it blows (im assuming this is the SXV450/550 lump..) my mate bought an sxv550 enduro which lasted 200 metres before it detonated. :) i will say that in that 200 metres as they set off he left everyone standing, and then, was standing...
