  1. If he gets them list he must be a very wealthy chap. Because if you're not rich you have to pay overs... oh the irony...

  4. Nice. What about the GT2RS. Any chance? Have you seen what they're doing overs at?? Criminal...

  6. I have. It's madness. I think he said he can get £220k ish for his current RS. I believe a year ago, he could have got £280k. Anyway, whatever the cost, far too rich for me. When I think back to 2007 I was after the 997 GT3 and it was £77k list and the RS was £90k if I recall correctly. Things have gone mad for what was the "affordable Sports car"!!!

  7. And you will pay the same price for a 997 GT3 now as well! It pains me as the whole point of Porsche is supposed to be that they are an actual sports car that can be used as intended. Having them go for crazy money just makes it unjustifiable to use them as they should be.

    All the new stuff doesn't interest me so much. Far too ballistically quick to be much fun. A bit like most modern sportsbikes. What you really want for entertainment at sane speeds is one of these. Its red too.

  9. That’s nice . That merits a bit more info-how did you come by it and how long have you had it, if your happy to share the story/more pics.

  10. I had the GT3 at silverstone for a whole day with Porsche. Couldn’t stop raving about the brakes, car was amazing.
     
  11. I have had it for just over 4 years, but bought it from California as a project. There's no way I could afford one which was either restored or an original car that didn't need lots of work.

    Like all projects its been a mission to get it done, and I'm nearly there. It was on the road in April last year, but had annoying engine and gearbox issues, which have been worked through, and the last few bits left are the chrome, some interior, and a few extra things like fitting brake lights that might enable you to be seen...

    Some parts are laughably expensive, like a proper '60s Recaro seat knob, which I paid £40 for. I started off wondering why there was such a difference in price between project cars and fully restored ones. I know now.

    Pic posted was with it still on axle stands while I finish off the winter fettling. It should be good for this summer now. Well as reliable as a 53 year old car can be.
