British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. True, and, true ;)

  7. Good swerves mate.
Keep throwing comments into a debate, ignore the responses and swiftly change the subject.
Being self-employed and grafting is a route out of poverty, working for pennies to enrich shareholders isn't.
I think everyone should do it,or at least be paid by results, instead of whining and moaning about the elderly using up the NHS/the old own all the houses/blafuckingblahblah.
There is no such thing as EU funding:there is taxpayers money squandered by politicians. That goes for every politician that ever lived.
As you are very clearly aware I used Poles as a catch-all description for every immigrant from a low wage economy that has taken a job paying less than an indigenous worker can afford to accept.
Road haulage has been very badly affected,(as have the state of our roads and the truck-involved accident rate),like the fishing industry,by EU membership.
I feel sorry for those people and for people at the bottom of the economic pile, who have no way of making a better life for themselves
You brought up racism.Being Polish or Hungarian or English or Portuguese is your nationality, nothing to do with race.
"Sometimes",going to a country and doing a job is far different to an administration going out of their way to enable one countries industry to undercut and ultimately destroy another countries industry.
As it happens the UK initially involved itself in WWII because of a defence pact with Poland, and almost bankrupted itself twice defending Europeans from other Europeans.
It may be that the UK has to stand up to and defend different Europeans from other Europeans again, although this time not militarily.
Merkel has fucked up,that I will agree with, but she didn't do it alone. There was tacit agreement with many other EU politicians and they are now enjoying the results.
EU meddling ain't the same as Government meddling because every now and then we get the chance to vote in a new one.
They are all complete rubbish at the job, because they almost all come from the same class, the same University, the same "I know whats good for the people" group think.
Rarely have they made a success at anything except making a cosy life at the taxpayers expense,in the real world where people get the bullet for uselessness they would be on the dole..bad lawyers, poor doctors, the idle rich and the titled idiot, all supping at the public teat.
The terms right and left wing were stupid and simplistic when invented and misused beyond belief...there is right and wrong, nothing else.
Politicians, the media, union barons and even certain people that frequent these forums have swallowed a dogma so enthusiastically that they don't see the idiocy that being a slave to a philosophy brings them.
The relentless charge towards socialism-by-another-name sees Degree-educated nurses watching people who starve to death in hospitals,Chief Constables earning more than the Prime Minister while refusing to listen to little girls who have been gang-raped by Asians, and pay day loans with 2000% plus interest rates legally touted on television as a good thing.
    To name but a few.
No one promised a rose garden post-Brexit,but we all know what we are getting now.
And the reason people voted for Brexit is that they ain't happy with what they are getting now, they'd rather shoot for the moon at the opportunities that will come when we leave.
I'll predict one thing: if this Parliament doesn't deliver on the promise, the payback will come at the next General Election.
I doubt it will be pretty.

  8. Agree in part, they need to deliver. Its what and how they deliver that is important, not just a rampant out.

  9. Local news has just said Toyota are to build the new Auris in Derby, despite Brexit.
