I have to say that I agree with you. However this kind of thing isn't exclusive to this forum. I noticed this happening on other forums too and it almost got to the point where it felt to me that some people actually had a problem dressing themselves in the morning. Ps 8/10 for the rant. Good one
I can imagine its rife across many forums. People clearly dont know how to use a forum search facility, good old Google OR try to work it out for themselves. I do wonder sometimes how some people have got as far in life as they have. I can imagine the conundrum they must be in just leaving the house, never mind buy some tyres.
We need a rant section pronto Mr C, you make a good point, but then again, so does Rob. Oh I cant decide :frown:
Can someone give me some advice as to where I should stand on this debate. I have no opinion of my own so any help much appreciated
FFs Matt, you're a huge bald bloke. Throw your toys out of your pram once in a while! Got to say, I kind of agree with C. I think that I'd have less of an issue if general topics weren't posted in bike specific sections of the set. It leads to a somewhat fragmented community. There's a post in one section about flaking engine paint. This is an issue that's been reported by Ducati owners since I've been interested in Ducatisti and I bet a lot longer too. I always have to check the 'For Sale' thread that's been posted in the Multi forum before I realise that I have no interest in it. Maybe it should not be model-specific to get people interacting more.
I can't get too stressed or uptight either way........It's a Forum.....a bit of banter to pass the time and a bit of help when needed.....I can take it or leave it.
Well I think you're being rather unreasonable Mr C. Motorcycling has changed from the good old days when you had to pop a new set of crank shells in on the B4578 at midnight in the pissing rain in order to get home. Nowadays we buy our motorcycles from boutiques, and have 'our' mechanic check the tyre pressures while we leaf through the Dainese catalogue. Style over substance, dear boy. And anyway, how can you expect the modern motorcyclist to wheel a rusty CZ into the workshop and transform it into a Hailwood rep when the collective mindset of this country is such we have to have a sign above the washroom taps warning us of hot water...
Chat room Trouble is like this thread people have different senses of humour and it only works at the time rather than later on Granted a mechanical thread isn't always the place
nooooooooooo not a chat room a pub room !!!!!!!!! sense of humour sarcasm ect dont always work on the net and easily taken out of context anyway pub drink typing maybe not lol
