  1. Depends what the reserve is 3500 would be good

  2. Thank you. Ha! No, he is paying for it but I am just helping him find one!
So do you think this one seems normal/ legit? The reserve I 4 grand. Just don't want him to get ripped off. Thanks

  3. Hey make sure you go and see it and hear it running etc. before and money changes hands as repair bills can be high. Do you know anything about bikes but just not Ducatis?

  4. Hi Joe, thanks. Yeah he knows about bikes, just not much about Ducatis. Do you think it looks reasonable?

  5. Yeah it looks ok - if you can get it at the right price. They are becoming harder to find and that means prices are going up. I'm trying to get my girlfriend (the one in my profile pic) interested, but that might just be an excuse for me to have another one! Are you going to ride it too?

  6. Welcome Dave

  7. Paint job is not standard obviously.

  8. Your a lesbian  cool ...

    Poppy:

Yeh, if it goes for £4k to £5k it has got to be considered cheap. Are you near enough to view. The paint needs sorting but if reasonable history it looks ok. You need to view though.

  9. welcome poppy to the forum,as for the bike it looks average to me but as other members have said if its cheap enough/take someone with you etc your choice, but time you have it serviced/tyres/paintwork etc it might be worth looking at one that is in a better condition for a little bit more money:thinkingface:

  10. Welcome to the forum. What hasn’t been said is that if your friend wishes to ride the bike, recommissioning could cost upwards of £1000 if you have any of the shims replaced. If you are looking at an investment, the cost of replacing damaged fairing panels with period panels is challenging and not cheap. Neither is a respray. The seat and subframe are bi posta but the rear footrests have been removed. IMO, as has already been said, you should be looking at spending your budget on something that doesn’t need the work this one does. Andy

  11. Thanks everyone. Taking into consideration what you all said, placed a bid but was outbid. Guess I will just have to wait for something to turn up unless anyone knows of anything? Thank you!

  12. What is your expectation on price as they have gone up a lot in the last 2 years - you might get a 996 a bit cheaper than a 916?

  13. Thanks for your help everyone. The guy who had the bike also has this senna. I don't want it, but he wants 7k for it if anyone does
Still looking for a 916. He is an engineer so could handle one with a knackered engine, but not one that's had a crash or anything. Let me know if anyone hears of one! Thank you
