Scotrail put the weather situation into perspective... "Recently, we have received approximately 904,873,448 messages asking about today's train services. Have you cunts no got anything better to do? Have you no got friends and family you could be spending time with, rather than messaging train companies whilst seething with rage that you're no able to get your daily 45 minute fix of sitting in a junkie-laden, arsehole smelling train carriage twice a day? Are you no content unless you're staring brain dead into a screen for 8 hours a day and raking in £9 an hour? Let me be very fucking clear: snowy track mean train no go. If track no snowy, train go. Crack the cans open, and smile a wee bit eh?"
Spoke with the aggregates place were using to supply and deliver the gravel for our drive and confirmed delivery for tomorrow morning now things are thawing out a bit. So I'll hopefully be having a busy day laying the last few sleepers for the edging and distributing 17 tonnes of gravel tomorrow. Should help me keep warm whilst out in the elements Also managed to secure myself a new and never been fitted comfort seat for the Panigale for £120... Can't bloody wait for the weather to warm up again so I can get some minor 'fettling' jobs done on the bikes and the new seat fitted when it arrives
With the weather being so bad, I knocked at 79 year old Vera's, next door this morning, to see if she needed anything from the shops. She said she did, so I gave her my list - no point in both of us going out in these snow showers.
I did 12 Tonnes last summer, got guy with mini digger, did it in half a day , complete with few other little digger jobs, 100 pounds , job jobbed, my back said thank you very much lol
Being so bored with the weather that I listed some stuff on evil bay, which is a first, did buy some stuff on evil bay but never listed anything before myselves
Up bright and early. Mowed the lawns and tidied the garden generally. Took 996 on a nice ride out round Buckinghamshire then stopped at OYB Aylesbury for a bacon/egg roll and a cuppa. Checked out the V4 (meh) and bought a new AlplineStar T shirt. Nice ride back and now sat in garden with a beer watching the kids play and deciding on take-away or firing up the BBQ. Woke up for real and not at all impressed .
Another lazy day in van land was meant to be in Bristol city centre unloading at finzells reach a new build by the river....gave that a miss
It certainly will be a lot of work I'm sure it will be worth is in the end though I know it's not ideal for taking the bike over but it's not a particularly long drive (about 20m) so shouldn't be too bad with the bikes ... Hopefully... We managed alright at the last place and that drive was not far off the same length and also a gravel. Gravel is bloody brilliant security wise too which is a major plus point for anyone who own's nice bikes or cars. 20mm golden gravel so will be nice and noisy should anyone unwelcome fancy taking a wonder around the place in the small hours Our old german shephered narrowly missed a scrotes ankle as he scrambled over our drive gates at the last place after me hearing him snooping around and letting the dogs out. Oddly enough, he didn't return again...
@Exige , we are all a bit bored today so please tell us you went out in the snow today and bought a few more bikes, just to keep us entertained, please post pictures of the ones bought in the last three days, failing that make a collage of all your current bikes with pics, spec and history stories , that will keep us entertained for a week or two lol
