It is a 2002MY, it doesn't have the colour coded mirrors that were fitted to many of the bikes assembled in 2002, it doesn’t have the optional Ohlins steering damper and it is fitted with the 45mm aluminium Termignonis with no mention in the advert of the 50mm carbon half system that the bike was delivered with or the original paddock stand. T’is a thing of beauty but (very) over priced IMO. Counter intuitive I know as I have one but I don’t think that the market has reached or can sustain this level ..... yet. Andy
I think it's a 2001 model. Ohlins front forks but vented fairing. 2002 should have slab side fairing. Prices seem to be increasing year on year, be interesting to see what it actually goes for?
Early 2002MY bikes assembled at the end of 2001 and into the first couple of months of 2002 came with that fairing. The slab side fairing didn’t appear in the UK until later in 2002. Andy
He has actually listed as a 2004 anyway. Wonder if it sat for a while somewhere before it was registered.
More than likely with the very occasional parade outing to account for the mileage. If the seller can get that price, good luck to him but for whatever reason, the 748 is not appreciated in the same way the early 916 monos, 916sp/sps and 996R are. Time will tell though. Andy
