This is driving me mad....ever since I put the deposit on the new bike, time seems to have ground to a halt! I seem to be spending my time looking at pictures of the thing, browsing through this (and other) forums which are making me want to spend more money before I've even got it and generally twiddling my thumbs wishing that March would come sooner. I have now decided that along with essentials like tank pads and huggers I almost definitely, certainly and unequivocally need new levers, fork preload adjustment knob things and rearsets...oh and I must get round to booking at least 3 track days for the summer as well as getting new leather trousers....whilst I'm at it I'm not convinced my jacket will go with the new trousers...and boots.... don't forget new boots. The old ones are destined for the bin after 7 years anyway....It's getting (even more) expensive. Looks like a trip to MCN bike show in Feb........which is at least 3 years away at this rate This is my first new bike (or indeed car) so everything before has been "see it, like it (need it), buy it" but this seems to be a specific Ducati time vortex thingy. I know all the "March will be hear soon enough" the "you wouldn't be riding it in this weather anyway" and the "it'll be worth the wait" arguments but the 6 year old at Christmas/spoilt brat in me just won't go away! Is this normal?
Ive actually got to the stage of looking at Ducati branded matts and covers......but I thought it too sad to put in the original post!
Quite normal Start buying bits now you know you want too I know how you feel I bought my bike in the feb didn't pass my test till may Felt like forever I just hounded the poor people on here well still do really The only side effect is aching cheeks from a continuous smile once ridden Won't be long it's nearly spring
