I currently have a MS 950 which I really enjoy but have hankered after the enduro since it was released. Today I got to ride the demo at moto rapido and to my immense disappointment it's too tall. I had to go into urban mode just to touch the floor, sport was impossible. Can anybody let me know if the low seat makes a real difference of it there is some other way of making it fit me! I loved the bike, terrific engine and great handling. I'm 5'10" with a 30/ 31 inside leg. HELP.
Low seat makes all the difference. Mine,s a 1200s & i am 6 foot 32" leg & have it on low seat. Maybe because its less distance to fall.
Thank you for the input. I suspect i will put a deposit on today. The bike is a 2016, is it the same spec as the current bike ? E.g. Bluetooth, cornering lights etc?
Yes it is, I just moved from standard dvt to 2016 enduro and it is awesome, I didn’t think the skyhook, led lights, and colour tft with multimedia would make that much difference but I was wrong.
Well I am 5’11” with a 30 in inseam. Seat is standard. Trick is I use BMW boots with a thick sole. Problem solved
I'm 5' 10" with a 30" inseam and can flat foot one foot on my 2016 Enduro. You just have to learn to shift your weight and move around on the seat. Just be careful with the camber of the road when you stop. You'll get used to it soon enough
Deposit placed, funds sorted and bike to be delivered next Tue. I haven't got over my height concerns but can't wait.
Great stuff, enjoy and as always when you get it post a pic , preferably with bins I didn’t post before as no bins in this pic of mine...
Good for you, I'm sure you will love it. Really don't worry about the seat height you'll be fine. I have the comfort seat which I think is even higher than the stock seat. In Sport mode (is there any other?!? ), you can get the balls of both feet on the deck. As I say, you just have to learn to shift your weight on the seat from one side to the other and move around the bike. You will soon get the hang of it. My KTM 350 Enduro has a seat height of 38 inches and that's not a problem. Best of luck
Ok, 1200s not enduro but 28 seam and manage fine, just get used to looking for camber and kerbs. If you re not used to these issues, just prepare to stop and reduce the topple-factor and all will be great. And set urban as min preload and soft settings for round town. I was one being trailered yesterday around Coventry-Warwick A46 funny enough.
