This is how that scum car parking lot got caught..... Charging people to SECURELY park the cars while on holiday, only to find the scrots had been using them while you are away and parking them anywhere, industrial estates etc.
US software, they don't know how to write the date properly ... try working for a USA company, selling in the Eurozone with factories in China..... nightmare.
Turns out that the tracker resets to kph and the date if the internal battery goes dead although it will pick up the time and date from the SIM once reconnected! So 103mph phew.....I don't have a problem with that tbh Thing is I run a garage myself and I'm allways as carefull as can be when doing road tests myself even if a customer says I have a problem at high speed most I'll do is 80 on a duel carriageway! Doesn't do you rep any good to be flying around like a loon in customers cars let alone the legal ramifications
Way back when, one of my mates was an apprentice mechanic. He was out road testing a minivan that had been in for some work. It was a tricked up van with a few mods to the engine. My mate was " flying around like a loon" and ended up in an accident on a junction which wrote the van off. It would have been the end of his career if his boss was not also his uncle... Ah the good ol 'days!
