That, is a great shame. A great mind that managed to overcome his disability and communicate with an incredible amount of people in the world. One of the rare people that everyone loved.
As it happens, this is not the first time that I have heard Ken Dodd lambasted though not for the reasons stated. Yes he had his funny moments, but probably not a "Good" man. While I might qualify as a "wanker" acording to Scouse_Dave (there is always hope) please respect his perspective.
R.I.P. Stephen - I simply cannot comprehend how a human being was able to think such complex thoughts and back them up with numbers.....whilst dealing with his disability on a daily basis. One of a kind. I think a fitting funeral would be to launch him to the stars.....far more symbolic than Elon Musk's Tesla!
Major contributions to Planet Earth Education & Beyond and therefore rightly deserve's his place in history
I agree, and would respect it had it not contained blatant insults. However, since it did, I have none at all.
Have been following this thread with interest since its inception way back on Monday morning, and then just now reading your comment, I was lead to believe you were looking to boost your collection of Drama Queen emojis and thought I might offer a helping hand .... But then I read on... Ahhh, I see what you did there!
Blokes, the drama queens were only aimed at folk who came on an RIP thread and started either giving a guy who's passed away a kicking, or started barking on about shit that happened a million years ago in politics. Personally, I love a bit of off topic piss takes and banter, but ripping shit out of the dead?? Now, "drama queen" that feckers
What a wonderful contribution he made against the odds. Two great quotes: I believe the simplest explanation is, there is no God. No one created the universe and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realisation that there probably is no heaven and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe and for that, I am extremely grateful. Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.
