  1. Hi does anyone have or know if there is a quickshifter / autoblipper to fit to a pre 1260 multistrada in the UK and if so approx cost
    thanks

  2. PM sent (sorry it was a long one) :D

  3. Intrigued as to your pm now Andy :p

  4. Use a healtech on my hyper 1100 - good bit of kit - highly recommend.

  5. Thanks for all the feedback. Contacted healtech who are very helpful
    Cheers

  6. I have a heal tech easy on my 2017 PP, its really a thing of wonder! Adjustable and updatable via Bluetooth.

  7. I have a Translogic fitted to my 2015sDVT. It's ok, but no where near as smooth as the Panigale's. Upshift only, and quite notchy. I haven't managed to smooth it out. I've had a few EML's generated, but so far it resets itself after about 3 full powerdowns.

The Translogic ECU is quite sensitive to placement, such that if anything is touching it, it can generate the EML. It's also taken me a while to tune it as you have 5 different range settings, plus a mechanical setting. As with most quickshifters, if you nudge the pedal, you will lose power. Definately need to be positive with it.

I've replace the levers with Giles ones to get a shorter shift too, but recently move the shift back closer to stock to see if it helps.

I'd be interested in trying the Healtech.

  8. I contacted Healtech late last year to ask if it was both up & down gears. The answer i got was upshift only. No autoblip for downshift. Unless they have now sorted it to do down as well.

  9. I tend to clutchless upshift in 3rd gear and above on the dvt, anybody else use this method?

  10. Spoke to heal tech today, there system is upshift only but they say with the right throttle control you can come down from 6-4 which is not a lot of good.

I use clutchless going up from 1st and always use the clutch coming down.

  11. My bike doesn’t like clutchless shifting from 1to3 seems to dive/lurch too much. Fine from 3to6 though.

  12. A quick shifter in my case healtech .. has NOTHING to do with clutchless upshift.
More FASTER upshift, smoother of course and yes you can do downshift with some blip from 6to3 nice amd smooth ..
If learn with one of those is a bad habit i thing.

  13. Aye up Ron, I’m thinking of purchasing said item (I have the same bike), not really sure if I ‘need’ one, but gadgets and all that.

What do you think of it? Easy to install? Does it need much setting up?

    Thanks in advance.

That's for a 2017 Multi, check in the drop down on the website

I would get it for sure. It's really easy to use once installed. I mean like really really easy. I use the iphone app iQS easy. It updated the firmware too on the unit from the phone.

Its great fun pulling from the lights and quick shifting through the gears, I use it from maybe from 2 upwards but you can use from first but you will find 2nd is buttery smooth, 1st is a bit lurchy. You can do down but is not built for that I believe.

There is a user guides FAQ on the link below.

The only thing that puzzled me was the installing of wire that was under the side of the tank. People say you don't have to remove the tank but you need to get up and under the tank on one side, just a tiny bit more than my fingers could reach. Only by a small margin though. I'm no expert and I fitted this with ease apart from that tank/fingers space thing.

Once you have that cracked it's just a matter of feeding some wires up from the clutch pedal to the inside of the bike where the Bluetooth unit sits neatly near the battery tucked away.

Then you just play around with the app.
Just watch these videos below and you should be able to do it yourself. Don't be put off by the piggyback wiring as you will only have to fiddle with the tank access once. And its only one 'plug' you are piggybacking.

There is a "wizard" set up which makes you do things to the bike to check its working so its pretty much suited to you and your bike from the off.

The only 2 things you will really need to change are Sensor setup, how much pressure you need to change gear mine is set to 40% but I think 45-50% might be better.

And cut off times, I have mine at 65ms, the higher you have it the more the bike will lurch when changing. 80ms seems little too much.

    So there you go,

  15. Thanks Ron, really appreciate it.

Might have to get the credit card out!

  16. Do it, it will be the best bit of cash you have spent on your bike for sure, maybe get few small black cable ties too when you get it.

  17. Ordered. Damn you Ron!
