Hello from Norfolk although I see that intro has already been used today. I've owned a 796 for a few years and before Christmas, I bought a 916. After dropping in four replacement cam followers, a few shims and new belts, I'm waiting for a dry(ish) day for my first ride out. They say you remember it so, great anticipation. I'm sure there'll be more messages to the technical forum as the years go by.
Welcome, yes you'll definitely remember your first proper ride on the 916, your back and wrists will ache and you'll wonder what you've done, then the smile will just grow and grow. Steve
Things happen fast on this forum. Am I the only one working? Here's a couple of pics and I'll take a few more once I get it out on the road.
I think you'll find most on here have good jobs that allow them too much free time to spend on here, just because some are old doesn't automatically mean they're retired. Steve
