Look at the prices. You can fly all over the northern hemisphere for absolute peanuts; the price to pay for such cheap flights is the occasional minor problem such as this. What do you want, cheapo flights or expensive flights? I'll be sticking with the cheap ones, ta.
I fly EJ a few times a year, but it's not always cheaper than BA. On certain routes, sure, but others, there's not that much difference.
I don't fly that much, once or twice a year at most, but the cheapest operators are always easyjet, ryanair, monarch, etc. I've never been anywhere where the BA flight was cheap enough to take into consideration.
You did well to get there and back for £50. I've lost count of the number of times its started at sub £30 each way and by time taxes, levies, card charges, toilet tax blah blah blah has been added its never less than £100
Look on the website, book it, make sure your luggage is within their guidelines, job done. I've used them a dozen or more times and never had a problem. First trip to Poland was £44 return, Budapest and Sofia were equally cheap, it's £35 to get across France, ffs. Return. I've no idea how any of you can say that's not cheap. Freddy Laker couldn't do it for these prices 40 years ago...
Tried doing a DIY ski hol this year, but the esayjet prices didn't make it economical. fly a fair bit through the year and sometime easy/Ryan is cheaper, but not as a rule.
