Ended up on the ole' R1 rather than the 999. Can't say why, just felt like it. Hadn't been out on it since Autumn and it was sublime... I've been really down on sportsbikes lately but I really love my R1 again now, and not just how it looks. New tyres and a bit of extra winter timber still to lose meant that it was a bit bouncy out back but otherwise lovely. If law and road conditions had allowed then I'd imagine she would have been straight up to 160 up the A46 and across the top of the Wolds I doubt she'd have had to barely drop below 120mph between Caistor and the Cadwell turn-off... if only, eh? Thankfully I was able to open her up to the prevailing road speed and perhaps saw 61mph on the clock at one point before backing off and cooling down. Sunny morning joy!
I know, the garden waste one is the wrong way round but they are a gorgeous collection. I'm proud as punch.
Not been to Cadwell for years even though it down the road... so what you saying is this your 1st outing of the year ?
First sports bike trip out, been out on GS once this year but the weather has been awful .We live rurally so the roads have been like mudslicks since December, and then salt... Etc etc . Today has been the first time I actually felt like going out, well yesterday too but I was busy.
was out on th PP wednesday night, then home bound, unsure if i passed a mobile saftey camera around 23:00 between Gt Limber n Keelby, wish i went back to take another look... Saturday took the green one out, though i was umm n arring to to go out, lucky to get home, went to put it away and got my first puncture...
Thats what i thought, even check the humber safety cameras hotspots site n locations for that day... fingers cross it wasnt one and just a escort vehicle parked up...
