Edit : WARNING! This did not work!! You need to mount the IMU on a proper custom made bracket otherwise you'll have a nightmare with the electronics malfunctioning. I had to turn them off on the trackday I did and ended up high siding the bike as the R is a bit of an angry b*stard. --------------- I thought this was an interesting discussion over on the ducati1299 forum as I've been fitting fairings and doing some DIY mounting of the IMU which lives on top of the light unit over the weekend. The unit has it's own mount that bolts onto the top of the light unit and it looks like it's at close to 45 degrees, about the same angle as the dash display. I'm speculating that the unit is more interested in sudden change of level rather than actual level as otherwise it would be getting confused on steep gradients? I've added pictures of stock setup whilst fitting older style fairing stay to my new R last week. The IMU is underneath my DIY cable tie GPS mounting. You can see the upper shiny silver bolt. Also added phot of the MWR fairing stay and what I currently have. It's made for the 1199 but I'm using it on the R with some DIY mounting of the IMU etc, hence why I'm interested. I got the rather lovely fairings from @Niven770 I'll take the bike out for a test ride tonight to see if it thinks I'm wheelying down the road the whole time!! Edit: I couldn't see some of the pictures in the office and looks like the unit is mounted at the same angle as the dash.
Slightly different topic, but I had issues with my Nemesis TCS module and was told that it was critical that it was fitted close to horizontal as possible, failure to do so could compromise functionality. I would be interested to hear f your unit works at a different angle than it was originally designed to be installed at.
Looks like I did miss some details and the unit is at the same angle as the dash. Hopefully my cable tie genius will work ok. I'll try and do some testing tonight if I get home on time.

I ended up putting the DP fairing blank in with the original IMU bracket after having a load of problems and a crash!

Sorry to dig up an old thread but did anyone get to the bottom of this issue? I’ve got the motoholders fairing stay with the imu bracket built onto it. At the start of each session at cadwell, as soon as I accelerate hard out of Barn onto the start/finish I get the inertial sensor warning and all kinds of flashing lights. I’ve just read somewhere else it could be down to vibration from the clock bracket itself and a “foam gasket” solved it??
Your last comment is the most common fix but also make sure that the area where you are mounting the IMU is at the right angle since its common for after market brackets to be out of line. I tried a few rubber mounts but I'm not the best at fabricating stuff and I ended up just using a light blank from the Ducati Performance fairings that I had since that has the proper mount on it with the rubber gaskets.
