I was quite happy to report that all I have done today was to get the 748 mot'd and then rebuild the two Amal carburettors for the Triton. Doesn't seem very important now after hearing Terrys news. Steve
Went for my eye test . Slightly worse than last year, but I suppose that's the price of getting older. Still only need reading glasses though.
Been to Southampton unloaded van then back to Leeds, not very often I go south and it's a deluge then back north to the Sun.
As from last summer i now have to ride in glasses every time went out last Sunday for a ride and they kept steaming up every time i stopped So i kept holding my breath every time but found it was more because i pulled my neck tube over my mouth
Heading into town this morning. Decided to start the bike let it warm up and left the keys on the fuel tank. Got into town, go to unlock the top box.. ...bollix!!! Got SWMBO to drop in the red key, had a quick look at the forum to see how best to use it. Bike started, Thank God!! Out the road dreading seeing a Ducati key fob in bits...... There it was on a straight stretch in one piece!!! Lucky escape
Took the 'Blade apart a bit more, waiting on clutch holding tool now. Apparently there was a recall in 2001 for the clutch going BOOM under hard acceleration..........(like when you are being chased down from the pits exit by a @cookster ) Picked up some scrub wets yesterday. Wets are cool, i don't know why.
