  8. Me and the wife decided at the weekend to start a diet, with a "Cheat Day" every wednesday.

Today my wife brought home a KFC with extra fries.

I took home Elaine from work.

I'll let you know when I get released from Casualty

  14. Actually, I did that earlier to try to find out how I tell the difference between the clutch baskets. I'm waiting on a call back.

  15. I'm trying to be optimistic. Directly under the clutch is the sump so I'm hoping it just dropped straight in there. There is an oils strainer above so that would catch a lot of swarf before getting to the filter which is above that.

I'll clean out the pump and strainer and around the clutch basket and put back together and run for a bit then clean it out again. Then build it all up with a £80 new clutch and cover off eBay and see how it goes.

If the engine dies I'll just break it.

  16. Received my white 'Pit' button switch today and had some cones made for balancing the back wheel - 55mm shoulders, one fits snug, the other doesn't fit the wheel - can't get in with Vernier's but it cant be far off. Looks like the 1098 wheels are very slightly different dia inside to out but it might only be 0.1mm or so. Anyone know if it is an intentional difference and more like 0.5mm before I start sanding a cone down?

  17. Have you done that horn yet!!

  18. Phnarr phnarr;)

  19. Had a lovely day riding with Jorg, the laughing German. I beat him to the beach, like you do, then we went up to the mountains.

Only to have the day spoiled with news of my elder brother.. that's bro number 2 of 6.

His procedure today turned out to be not quite as expected. Fuck it. It is not a Polyp but a tumour. Fuck f'f' f'dy f!

    I feel better now.

However, it requires a scan before they know exactly what they are dealing with. He's scheduled to have another op' on 10th April. The good news is that they are on the case and they've caught this one relatively early. So we have to wait and see. In the meantime we/he has to just get on with life. Make the most of it...

    So we're going for a ride :):):)
