For Sale Ebay Bikes

  1. There are 3 or 4 roads to go down with them, imo @Bananaman
    • Matching numbers 4L0 UK bike. These command the premium. I bought one of these about 12 months ago.
    • Matching numbers 4L0 import. Germany seems to be a popular place to import from. In fact, when I took mine for an MOT this week, it's the 1st time my regular MOT station has seen it. He said "Which country's this from". When I said "UK" he did raise an eyebrow, which means these may be more common that I thought.
    • A non matching bike or converted 4L1 RD250LC.
    • A hybrid special with the LC look but some mechanical or cosmetic non standard changes. YPVS motors, RGV250 babana swing arms, USD forks and upgraded brakes. I love these types of bike and will have one at some point. @wroughtironron is looking after one for me atm. :) :upyeah:
All have value and are collectable in their own way. I wouldn't be put off by any, just adjust the price accordingly.

There 'tis - a Roadtrip built German 350LC (matching numbers) with RGV wheels/swinging arm, disc brakes, usd forks, Guiliari seat, Gibson pipes etc - ah the memories of youth and throwing one down the track at Three Sisters twice in one day......

  3. This was in the workshop at MR, a valve came into contact with a piston on track and the owner decided enough was enough having spent a lot of money on bits and building costs to spend more to rebuild the engine. A lot of Corse bits and bobs that I would have liked but a bit out of my price bracket so don’t expect any bargains. Andy

  4. Spoke to my friend earlier (john, the one who wants to buy the ducati) and he has been reading your posts on this thread with interest he has just managed to save about half the money for a deposit for a house and he's given up and wants to blow it on a Ducati when he was sixteen and gettinggetting a moped, £120 gets a puch grand prix which everyone laughed at, when all he wanted was a 916. Everyone keeps saying a bike is worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for it, and he's rubbish at selling stuff so its all still sat in his shed none of our generation can afford a house anyway!
Exige, how did you get on with the Senna? Which model was it? How molested was it?

  7. I contacted him about the other 916 he had (it wasn't a Senna) but he confirmed it was for sale - I asked him to let me know a price as I was interested and he ignored me :)

  8. I had a Laverda Montjuic brand new from TT motorcycles at Southwick which was a pile of shite and the Pantah was a much better bike but for some reason they don’t go for as much money.
That 600 looks a lovely old thing.
