ZZR1100? Can still be bought for sub 3k and has great performance with a relatively comfortable riding position.

Hey thanks guys some good suggestions there initially I was thinking of a higher mileage sp1 sort of 30 k miles I’ve seen a few around 3500 ish but I must admit I like the idea off a 98/99 yamaha R1 and they do turn up sometimes cheapish recently saw one with 30 odd thousand miles under 2000 , budget really is 2000 ish but could go higher maybe if it’s something I wanted
This just sold within a day on the bmw gs forum for £1795. Two owner 25k miles standard condition so they are out there in your price bracket.
954 Fireblade (2002 and 2003) was the last designed by the original designer and the lightest blade ever. May be a reasonable investment and plenty quick enough (you may wish to check this statement.)
Owned my GSXR 17 years and the only time it's let me down is when the garage didn't do the battery terminal up properly.
When I were a nipper my sister’s then boyfriend had a 400/4, lovely bikes. There’s just something about the 4 into 1 exhaust that looks the dog’s.
I had one and cut the back baffle right out so a straight through, sounded like a race bike although not sure the engine enjoyed the experience, but great little machines
Not quite 15 years old but close. The original 2004 zx10r. No rider aids just fast and scary.! And can still pick up good ones at a reasonable price.
