100 mile round trip taking in Avebury, reccying a future social run for riders new to riding in a group. Awful lot of surface water around, evidence of quite extensive flooding and both the river Kennet and Avon canal are very full. Given the dampness, the 6 or 7 degrees C felt very cold too. Glad we went out though, I do enjoy riding my bike. Andy
Took a cycle around Chew Valley lake, was overtaken by a Ducati not sure which one, it was Red and the dry clutch was unmistKable without having to look over my shoulder, was accompanied by a Triumph.
Had a quite spirited birthday blast on the 1190. Very enjoyable. And (just about) got home before the rain started.
Listened to the radio today while popping to Halfords - it said last year at this time it was +22C and in the 2nd week of April it was over 25C
Went in to town last night for a slap up seven course taster dinner with wine flight, as it was Easter the restaurant were giving away free random gifts. We won a free seven course taster dinner for two, which was nice. Will be giving it to our youngest daughter and boyfriend who's birthday is at the end of the month.
I've had a nice weekend down country in Burford, went to see my daughter and granddaughter, shame we had to come home to this snow. Steve
