V4 V4s

  1. Im just in process of running my v4 in and it sounds more rattly than my 1299 was is it usual or do i need to get it looked at.

  5. I have now seen probably 5 V4s being PDI’ed and test ridden by our workshop and my immediate comment was “that rattles”. Now to be fair, you have an aluminium/magnesium cased high revving 4 cylinder, 16 mechanically driven valve engine which has no sound mitigation so, it will sound very “mechanical”. By all means ask at the first sevice but I think it is normal. Andy

  6. Been looking on you tube for v4s and all sound same as mine i thought it would be normal just thought id get advice from other owners cheers

  7. I think that's the change from £23,000, they put the 59 pence in the tail unit. Take out the coins and you'll be okay
