2007 S4rs

  1. Hi All.

Looking at a 2007 s4rs, is the a proper model guide anywhere? are they the 999s(2005+) engine, with smaller injectors etc? Did they change engine spec at all over the years?

  2. Can't help you with the specifics but what a great bike for hooning around on.
And you can de-core the exhausts for that proper sound.

  3. If you don't find what you're looking for here, ask the question on UKMOC ? Plenty of owners of those bikes who can probably help.

  4. They didn’t change spec, only made for 2 years, quite rare and holding price well. 130bhp deep sump motor, not sure if they got ti rods from the 999S.

  5. I just want something interesting to play with. prices seem to be from 5k, to the idiotic speculating dealers at £13k.

  6. Yep, seen a couple at £8 that I thought we’re overpriced but they sold. Dont know if they made full price tho.

  7. Great bikes! Got mine about 4yrs ago, it was my annual bonus from work. Loads of fun to ride, I've got a full Arrow exhaust on mine and slipper clutch, sounds fantastic.
The only critiscism I would have is that the miles per tank is not great, I usually got around mid seventies in normal use and it's all to easy to enjoy it a little too much which will drop that figure to around 60miles.But if you can live with that one minor thing I whole heartedly recommend it.
It's way better looking than the later models as well. :upyeah:

  8. Had mine 8 years and won’t sell.
Horrible at slow speeds, just wants to go.
Look/feel for tank swell on sides of tank, back towards seat.
Ask seller to raise and lower tank to see if you have to wrestle it back into place.
Weak bits so far have been regulator/ rectifier ( upgraded to mosfet type with shorai battery) and starter sprag needing replacement.
Throttle bodies are smaller because of lack of space.
De-cat with full termi or similar system/ ecu really opens performance up. It loves to rev.

Here’s the latest one, just finished, turned out ok I think.

  16. I managed to fit to a S4, 999 engine,999 throttle bodies with 999 airbox.

The frame cross brace needed shiftin a little. If the brace is removed a 1098 engine, tb and airbox will fit.

Even with the std battery the tank needed to be lifted 8mm. A smaller batt would see the tank at std height.

  17. Can you imagine one with a 1098r motor!
