Stolen 1098s

  1. Lots of them around here too. They cruise past three or four times a week in their Transit tippers with their feral kids in the front, eyeballing up driveways and nicking whatever they can. Kenneth Clarke called them the feral underclass and got vilified for it. Personally I think he was just saying it like it is. I hope Kitfit can find it before it is broken because I don't hold out much hope of the police doing much.

  2. An idiot scumbag

  3. Thanks for the nice words guys and Ducbird, and yes i do want it back Bazzer.
I thought that my garage door was secure, but the police showed me how they got in. A screwdriver and less than 1 second and your in, i tried it myself and it was easy.
Horse door and bolted i know, but needless to say it now has 2 bolts at the top and and both lower sides. Just hope that Axa pays out enough for another bike.

  4. Call me neurotic but my garage door has four bolts, an alarm incorporated into the house alarm, a stand-alone alarm, alarms on the bikes and mechanical security. All I need is a hungry pissed-off Rottweiller, a snake pit and some razor wire and I'll be able to sleep sound!!!

  5. Any pics and those of us with Facebook can put it up there for you

  6. Gutted for you,any marks in the snow to give you some sort of clue to how they got it away ?

  7. Thanks Ducbird. Got a couple here of how she looked when she was nicked. One is a bit out of focus, but the other one is fine.

    I have asked to repost
I used the one with you in it I presume

  9. There were tracks and footprints in the snow. They wheeled it about 150yds up the road and then loaded it into a van.

  10. Thanks Ducbird.......................yes the ugly mug is me

  11. Gawd I refrain from swearing

  12. It's on the rounds :)

  13. Did they manage to break the steering lock then or just lift the front wheel?

  14. Posted on my Facebook although I'm a long way from you. Here's hoping you get a good result. Chris

  15. The steering lock wasn't engaged. I was under the assumption that the garage door was secure, so didn't engage the steering lock.

  16. The more that know hopefully makes it harder to move

  17. To be fair I expect it would have made little difference. I really feel for you. Beautiful bike.

  18. Shared on my FB also, good luck
