Lots of them around here too. They cruise past three or four times a week in their Transit tippers with their feral kids in the front, eyeballing up driveways and nicking whatever they can. Kenneth Clarke called them the feral underclass and got vilified for it. Personally I think he was just saying it like it is. I hope Kitfit can find it before it is broken because I don't hold out much hope of the police doing much.
maybe post it up on here aswell. http://www.facebook.com/groups/415974705057/ i know its shite when a bike gets lifted,my 748 got done over a few years ago, luckily i got it back,i wish you the same luck mate.
Blimey! Sounds like they scoped these places out! Stolen to order? I'm gonna sleep in the garage tonight
Thanks for the nice words guys and Ducbird, and yes i do want it back Bazzer. I thought that my garage door was secure, but the police showed me how they got in. A screwdriver and less than 1 second and your in, i tried it myself and it was easy. Horse door and bolted i know, but needless to say it now has 2 bolts at the top and and both lower sides. Just hope that Axa pays out enough for another bike.
Call me neurotic but my garage door has four bolts, an alarm incorporated into the house alarm, a stand-alone alarm, alarms on the bikes and mechanical security. All I need is a hungry pissed-off Rottweiller, a snake pit and some razor wire and I'll be able to sleep sound!!!
Thanks Ducbird. Got a couple here of how she looked when she was nicked. One is a bit out of focus, but the other one is fine.
There were tracks and footprints in the snow. They wheeled it about 150yds up the road and then loaded it into a van.
The steering lock wasn't engaged. I was under the assumption that the garage door was secure, so didn't engage the steering lock.
