  1. Looking good Nick. The Pantah in standard form is quite a small bike for a big guy. This set-up doesn't look too small to me.

  2. Is that the right shade of blue? ;-)

    Very nice job!

  3. lovely work!

  4. Not far off is it?
And it doesn't really matter if it isn't.

  5. Very very nice. Bloody good job.

  6. Looks fantastic Nick.

  7. Thanks for all the comments guys! Hopefully I'll get the pipes wrapped and fitted tomorrow

And Pete, can you clear some space in your inbox!

  8. Downpipes wrapped and fitted along with a set of cans I had lying about. They're way too long for my liking so I'll change them at some point. Has anyone ever tried cutting carbon cans down?

  9. I've cut a set down before mate, it's easy. Remove the sleeve then wrap a few turns of masking tape round the can and cut through that with a new hacksaw blade, any frayed ends will be covered by the end cap. Just be careful measuring the length of the internals or you may have a gap between the end of the baffled bit and end cap.

  10. Cheers mate, that might be tomorrows job!

  11. Did it, failed at it, bodged it. So yes easy enough to cut down lol

  12. Why not get a pair of stainless megaphones off the bay of fleas mate (Tried to grab a link but the iPad doesn't show them)?
just search for cafe racer exhaust, there's hundreds of them on there.

  13. I don't think the length of the carbon tube is your only problem, I think the 'link' pipe (the bit between the header and the carbon) is also too long. What you want is a stubby can fitted closer to the header.... Just my 2p worth.....

The bike looks awesome though :upyeah:

  14. Made in metal do some really nice short stainless pipes, but at about £400. I'm really into the 'make it myself' mindset at the moment so might try to chop these cans up first. The link pipe does look long, after I've chopped the cans I'll have another look.

  15. Yeah, but you can't go with that look. It's wrong. The Monster guys call that look 'the wheelbarrow'.
