I’m going to look at this 1199 panigale S I will post the link. I’m just looking for some insight, firstly how does the price look for this bike do you reckon there is any room for budge? Obviously down to the dealer but anything I can use to press on him a bit. Also miles is 9k but the clock show just over 4K this is due to the clock being changed by Ducati all paperwork to prove this according to dealer, question is does this affect the value of the bike it showing the wrong miles? And lastly is there anything I need to look out for on these bikes? Thanks for the help in advance https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classi...ANIGALE&sort=sponsored&postcode=ka92nw&page=2
Clocks should be no issue given the documentation, bike looks tidy and well prepared but a tad pricey IMO. Surprised a BMW dealer would offer it but that could be a sign of it's quality. I wouldn't buy it sight unseen though. Andy
Looks a decent example that is a grand or two over priced. Clocks going are a common issue so no problem. Stuff to look for are the usual things; fork seals, damage on the ends of the sticky out bits; pegs, bars, panels, etc. It has a new set of tyres so not much to be learnt there. For that price you can probably get a 2014 model with the same mileage. For comparison: https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bikes-for-sale/ducati/1199-panigale/
The bike hasn’t had the optional free engine cover and extended exhaust cover fitted. It’s just plastics, which Ducati offered for free after people complained about the heat.
Is the S a must for you? I will be putting up my 1299 with 12k on the clock which I’ve owned from new with full Ducati warranty until May 2020 soon for similarish money? Bike has had ventureshield since new, DP front guard , evotech tail tidy & a biketrac tracker. The extended warranty was £800 at the time of purchase & included. The bike is pristine.
