IME, touch up sticks are gloopier, so act as a bit of a filler to fill the scratches in, rather than just colour them. I'm sure the spray and artists brush is more accurate though.
it goes on quite thick due to using a brush, i have watched the detailers in the dealerships use this method, let it go off then a quick t,cut, tho, reds not necessarily a color you want to be cutting unless yer prepared to do the lot.
Cannot endorse this as have no experience of using it but it popped up on my Facebook news feed a week or so ago https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10213392742106789
Looks like the answer to a maiden's prayer but can't help being cynical. Can't help thinking the claims are overblown.
Stuff like this rips the guts out of you ,I've been there too...its not just wonky paddock stands that you need to be aware of on the 749/999 either , when I had mine the sidestand was at such an extreme angle that i got to the stage where I was paranoid about leaving it on the stand in case I came back to find it wrecked on its side, ended up aralditing a nylon puck to the underside to raise the whole thing up by about 3/4 inch...it worked!
Hey Gaz, I feel your pain! a few weeks ago, I (against my best judgement) pumped up the tyres on my Blade 954rr to Honda's recommended 42 psi. Pulling away from a friends drive on cold hard tyres, had the rear lighting up like a Guy Fawkes wet dream and off it trotted down the road. Top cowl, RH fairing, RH footrest, upper cowl bracket, RH clipon, RH mirror, exhaust pipe and link pipe and seat cowl all damaged (the top cowl is in about 5 pieces). And for good measure a ding in the tank! I've taken the fairing panel to Ace Car Body repairs in Shrewsbury as they seem to know what they're doing and relatively close (£150 to repair the sizable hole), can is at PGW (something like £60), and the tank is probably going to £130 for dent removal and then painting. Load of other odds and sods too, and a new top cowl from Mr Honda. Sickening really, I probably should have just sold the bike for parts and purchased another, but you get attached to these things! Most of it was found via ebay, just have to watch out for any hardware stuff (handle bars etc) as they can appear straight until you put them on the bike, then realise they're a wee bit out of square too! I also dropped my tank from the 750ss last year - that's still on the to do list, but it's not that noticeable. Best of luck!
The plastic block is all on the outside of the fairing with just a steel bolt actually going through it, so the hole to be drilled is relatively small.
