dear fellow diavels I am looking for a shorty exhaust for my Gen 2 Diavel and only have found the remus or competition werkes. I have seen adapted termignoni shorty slip on and an akrapovic shorty slip on... Anyone have experienced of a nice shorty exhaust to add to the bike. Many thanks in advance
No, the Remus didn't need the remap. The remap was done before the Remus was fitted. The Rexxer remap improves the fuelling & makes the bike even more responsive, the Remus just makes the sound even better (running without the baffle) and it is lighter than the original silencers.
I considered the Racefit, the build quality is very good. But I was advised that a number of Diavel owners with Racefit cans had been stopped by the police & I was told they ended up being fined.
I don't know if it was for the noise itself, or if the noise attracted attention that led to a fine. The report I received was 3rd hand & anecdotal.
I went with a Shift Tech, rode for a bit without a tune (seemed to run fine) until I got the tuneboy, then had it dynode and runs sweet as. Very happy with the quality of the pipe and the notes pretty good too .
Had a Remus on mine , dyno’d it before and after a reflash . It was safe enough afr wise , stock , but ran better once mapped
