Hi, every now and again I am starting to experience problems with the immobiliser, it doesn't happen that often but occasionally the immobiliser kicks in and refuses to allow the bike to start. If I turn ignition off and back on the bike will start as normal. I have seen a few posts on google and here regarding removing the immobiliser, is it just a case of removing the ecu and sending away or is there a bit more involved. Any info from someone who has done this or knows someone who could remove it from the ecu would be appreciated. cheers, Brendan.
Just read on my insurance renewal small print that the bike won't be covered for theft if no factory or approved immobiliser is fitted
1098R is on the road now - had a run out last Saturday R1 from 1st May - YR5 MOT exempt from the 20th May 10 days of rain forecast now
Thought about that, I know it's a gamble but I would rather know the bike will work than be constantly wondering if it's going to start. I'm assuming the immobiliser is in the ecu so hoping it wouldn't be too easy to tell it has been removed.
