  2. I don't think its that ugly. A bit odd but then I'm a KTM man and they've given their latest bikes a headlight that looks like a baboon's arse so who am I to criticise?. It does work though and that's the main thing.
The MT10 I don't like at all is that lime green and grey object. It's hideous and looks like a chav's tracksuit but the blue and black MTs look quite funky in my view. You can see the R1's DNA in it and there's nothing wrong with that. Sounds proper too when it's uncorked. The crossplane Yam engine is the only I/L four I'd have.

My only reservation is the finish. They've made it at a tempting price and I don't doubt the engineering for a second but the savings have to come form somewhere and finish standard is the obvious place. I've seen a couple of MT07's that have been used for year-round commuting and they've pretty much dissolved. But you're starting with a clean sheet so if you assume it's vulnerable to corrosion and maintain it accordingly from the start there's no reason why it should be a problem.

  3. On the finish - there are some cheap pressed steel bits (brake line brackets for example) which are likely to go south quickly if they see any salt. But as I don't ride daily any more, and not much in the winter, and I keep my bikes in tip top condition with GT85 etc, I don't think it'll be too bad. To be fair, my Ducati looked like new when I traded it in, but I did lavish A LOT of love & attention on her and didn't ride on salted roads.

The yellow wheeled ones are rather lairy I agree. The SP does look nice with the gold forks and additional shiny bits, though I prefer to keep £2500 for some carbon wheels. The Wall-E looks are growing on me too.

  4. Nice bike but more like Transformers than Wall-E?

  5. Why is that bike fitted with wets on a dry road?!

  6. Ugly mofo of a bike - I like it! Enjoy your new ride :upyeah:

  7. Misinformed arrogance. Very funny ... laughing at you not with you, ofc.

I'm not struggling for cash, point in case it's an additional bike garage that sits alongside my 1260S Touring. Chosen AFTER buying a Multistrada because as practical as the multi is, it lacks some fun factor. It was one of the top selling bikes of 2017 and widely acknowledged by the motorcycling press as being the best naked bike out there. Putting a Multi up against it is like bringing a knife to a gun fight, but if you like buying expensive knives and enjoy being humiliated then that's up to you. Budget doesn't come into it, because it's just a quicker, end of.

  8. Wanna race..?

  9. Unfortunately there are people out there who treat expensive cars/bikes as some sort of status symbol.

Nothing wrong with having expensive toys but it seems in recent times cars and motorcycles are treated more and more like modern male handbags.

  11. Which is why there are a lot of companies out there making money from selling tasteless tat for bikes alongside the better aftermarket stuff.

  12. Bikes are the tip of the iceberg, people are spending tens of thousands on colour matching bracelet fobs for their supercars :mask:

  13. I saw a thing on tv yesterday of some bloke giving his 20 something year old girlfriend an easter egg and inside the egg was a car key to her very own Lamborghini Aventador.....all I got was smarties in mine

  15. I like them. Was put off by mpg and owners nickname for them, 'The Empty'. But 120 to warning light would have kept me happy tbh.

Watched a French Youtube journo test a while back and the MT10 scored above the Superduke in several areas, including sharper handling.

  16. Potty mouth!! :D

  17. See jim, when you enter into a threesome relationship and the girl puts out more than you, that's all you're gunna get is smarties. You tell Tarquin he doesn't appreciate you enough

  18. I did think about the Superduke actually, great bike, but it is lots more £££s and I just got addicted to the Yamaha motor. And I’m in a sort of KTM bermuda triangle here in Guildford with no nearby dealers, whereas I’ve got at least 2 Yamaha dealers nearby.

Anyhow, I got an easter egg too but it was empty. Dunno what I’d do with an Aventador TBH. Get banned probably.

  19. I’m in Woking. KTM Hemel is a bit of a mission to be fair, worth it so far!

  20. If I can have an Aventador I’ll put anything out :worried:
