Not sure if the V4 is different from other Panigales, but has anybody a good hint for a luggage solution both tank and / or rear? Unfortuntely there is no way I can fix a luggage system for the rear, as the tail is too short and there seems to be no fixing points for straps. Or has anybody found a solution here? Maybe from previous Pani models? Thanks for any input / links.
Since there are holes underneath for mounting passenger footpegs, I would expect Ventura to produce a rack kit for it at some point. Ask them if they have anything in the pipeline...
Agree with razz, ventura is likely to step up first given there is not too much to them, this is on the 959 that also fits the 1299 Pani https://www.ventura-bike.co.uk/fitments/Ducati/9998-panigale_1299.aspx
Nope, as the solo seat cover doesn't have the 4 connection points, which seems to be the basis of the Kriega connection-strap-system.
I bought a used SW motech Evo tankback incl. tank ring from a 1199 Panigale owner. And yes: the tank ring fits the V4. Again thanks for all your inputs.
I am a big fan of the SW-Motech Blaze panniers and have them on my 1299 and have used them for the last 3 years without issue. I recently got a confirmation from Motohaus Powersports Ltd (They distribute the SW-Motech range of bags and accessories in the UK) that the Blaze pannier system will be coming to the V4....just don't have a timescale just yet. I'm keeping fingers crossed that they come out before I look to tour Spain at the end of June but would be surprised if they are fully ready by then.
I haven't seen the inside of a V4 tail section but assuming it's all pillion compatible (which I think it is), don't they also have two fixing points where the pillion handle attaches to like on the previous Panigale? If so, those are the two front anchor points that the Kriega luggage stuff uses. For the rear, you could wrap the straps that the Kriega luggage comes with under the pillion seat. There are likely better solutions around but just throwing this out there!
I understand your pain now. I had a look underneath my monoposto configuration, and to say its tight is a bit of an understatement.
I am off to Le Mans this weekend and have attached my kriega 20ltr to the pillion strap bolts and then underneath where you attach the pillion seat fairing, pics to follow
Would love to see some pics of this setup, Do you think you could fit a Kriega 30Ltr on there ? My V4S unexpectedly arrived last Saturday (not that I am unhappy of course ) and with only just over a month to go until I will be touring the Picos for 5 days, need to think about luggage knowing that the SW Motech Blaze Panniers will not be available in time.
Afternoon Quick question, did you attach the luggage to a V4 or 1299? It appears the Kriega luggage adaptation i'snt available yet for the V4 from Kriega. I'm off to Spain Sunday and my bike i'snt ready so they are lending me a V4. But i'm not sure about the luggage option. any help/advice would be most appreciated. Best regards Christian
Why settle for 30l when you can do 90l?! Back to the question Christian, providing you have a pillion seat for your V4 then I can't see what the issue would be with just using the nylon loops that kriega supply as standard when you buy a US dry-pack which you can then cut to size. Despite having the official Kriega fitment kit for my Pani, I have cut the standard nylon loops to size and so far so good...
