Hi everyone, After about 5 years away from Ducati ownership, I thought I'd treat myself to Monster 1200r. First impressions - it's hilarious to ride, and I still have a stupid grin on my face half and hour after I've parked up. I plan on keeping the bike fairly standard as I like the look of them that way, however have already splashed out on an Evotech tail tidy and exhaust hanger to get rid of the rear footpegs - really impressed with the Evotech parts. The final thing I'm considering is a slip on can - I'm not doing the £1000+ Termi option, as to be honest although the part itself looks beutiful I'm not keen on the twin pipe arrangement - it's either Arrow or SC Project then, and just when I thought I'd made my mind up to go with the SC Project, I noticed that the link pipe is extremely close to the footpeg (which is already close on the OEM part) - has anyone gone with the SC Project and noticed an issue?
I’ve got an sc project conical on my 1200r and not had any problems with the link pipe being too close.

Yes it’s loud with the baffle out but too quiet with it in, I had to get the grinder and drill on the baffle to get the loudness right.
I went for the Austin Racing 110MM GP1R. Shows of the back wheel nicely. Easy to fit and you can remove the pillion pegs as no longer support the exhaust. Also made in the UK but did take awhile to be made.
Quick update - Decided to purchase the SC Project and 4 weeks later it's arrived - quality is really good, and comments made by others are true, namely that the link pipe doesn't impact on your foot positioning any worse than the standard, and yes, without the baffles it is seriously loud! Booked my first track day in a months time, so I can see the stock can going back on to get past the static (102dB) & drive by (98dB?) noise testing?
