  1. When you find some please let me know as I’d also like a pair!

    Goose

  2. Not that this helps you but I have just bought a set for my 916. Needed to get a few spacers so they fit properly.
    They look very nice
Need to put s few miles on it to make sure they are not show and no go

  3. Well, I've just moved to NZ, and my CNC machine won't be over here for another 6 months or more. But if I havnt found any rear sets, I'm gunna make some.

  4. Also. Been looking at fender eliminators for this bike with ss exhaust. Best one comes part of a kit. I really hope they will agree to sell the parts separate.

  5. Hang on... have we become a Facebook group? Cheap Chine... Christ!

Standard items or boutique race alternatives only. Otherwise you look like a giant chav.

Chinese crap that belongs in a cracker doesn't befit a Ducati.

  6. I love ducati bikes for what they are. But I draw the line to getting ripped off because of the name. A lot of Chinese stuff has been rubbish in the past I admit but they are getting better all the time. Who cares if it isn't a genuine part ? Obviously those with too much money
Next im buying a Pakistani ducati leather jacket because they are less than half price ;) . I've had a genuine one before and I've seen the copies. Not a lot in it as regards to quality. You spend your dosh and get all your genuine labels, and I will spend the extra cash on my wife and kids ;)
Competition makes prices go down which is a good thing so others can afford nice stuff. EBay is bloody brilliant. Even if I were a millionaire I'd get the cheaper deal..... Why ? cus I'm not daft.

  7. Is jack up plates an option? May be worth seeing if any other Ducati models fit too

  8. Everyone’s entitled to their choices. I just can’t see the point in “improving” a bike with parts of inferior quality. The Pakistani leathers are stitched to a standard you’re happy with then wear them, and if Chinese QC is good enough for you then rock on.

    Buy right, buy once.

  9. i am afraid i todays age thats not quite correct
the chinese let people like Gilles do all the research and development and pass alll the TUV and CE tests and as a result charge £300 For a set of rearsets
The chinese just copy them and charge £100
its not buy cheap buy twice its simply down to morals

  10. I disagree. It’s got nothing to do with morals but the original design and manufacturing company trying to recover their initial research and development costs (which could run into millions) as well as making a profit for their troubles.

  11. i didnt mean the companies morals
i meant us making the decision to support the company that put the effort in
i am afraid my morals are shite
i bought genuine for the MV and chinese for the 916

  12. What he said ^

You pays your money and takes your choice. It's not worth having a fight over, but there are so many reasons from pride of ownership to not having to worry about component failure why I avoid the Chinese tat. Getting my bits from (say) Evotech Performance rather than eBay might cost me more, but I'm also kind of sure that 11 year old kids are not churning out gubbins for $1 a day.

All that said, there's seldom anything wrong with OEM Ducati bits really.
