So, Jerez, What Do We Think?

  1. Have a watch Bradders and let us know what you think, I thought it was a pretty good watch. Not mind blowing but still a good hours entertainment. Kind of a shame the excitement is all crashes; the moto3 one was just as messed up as the GP crash as well.

  2. Apart from the crash it was boring.

  3. I didn't know Marquez went into the gravel. I'm presuming you mean in the race.

From where I was sat it was an interesting race until all three went off, then it was game over.

Yeah, poor old Danny going into orbit, again. It's a wonder he didn't do his wrist again.

  4. Some gravel was shoved into the race line on track when another ride (crutchlow?) fell off earlier.

  5. It was Tom Luthi who kicked the gravel on to the track :upyeah:

  6. What a disaster for Ducati!!!!!!! the only hope is for Marquez to fall off or DNF soon to even it up. A racing incident IMHO but robbed us (and them) of a good race.

  7. As dull as new year's eve's dish water !! :worried:

  8. I would love to blame Hawhay for the crash but it wasnt his fault.I agree with Sams post that its down to Ducati mangement.Race by all means but if it turns out you are blocking your team mate, then let him past.

  9. Question; When are Yamaha going to fix the factory bikes as this is very embarrassing now for their reputation and the premium class in general:thinkingface:

  10. It’s a shame that 2018 looks to be shaping up to be a bit of a damp squib season.
The only person that can lose the championship even at this early stage is MM. They have a bike that only requires small adjustments for all the tracks so far , and in the hands of Marquez he can just make it sing.
Yamaha are in the wilderness. Dovi seems to have lost his way a bit , Lorenzo is unaccounted for.
    Crutchlow is just Crutchlow.
I had hoped that this race might have turned the tide, but alas no. Long way to go of course ,but barring MM injuring himself I think race weekends will just be a formality unless the other teams pick up their game.

  11. Two things I predicted early in the race when sat watching yesterday;
Crutchlow binning it trying to get back in to podium position or a win.
Lorenzo going backwards when his tyres went off.

Lorenzo has repeatedly picked tyres that make him look (occasionally) good, with pace. But the compound will not last the distance at a fast pace. He then goes backwards in the pack. Once again he has fckud Dovis chances. the points lost for him may well put paid to him being a serious threat to MM.

Its all for MM to throw away. He seems to have got even better, if that was possible and the Honda is on song. A display of rider talent once again.

Why is Zarco showing up the factory Yamaha riders, is it just talent and hunger, or a better bike set up..?

  12. Zarco cashed in there as he was well off the podium.. that said he is a class act and his combination of hunger, talent and humbleness make him great to watch. Confusing as fuck to understand mind...

  13. I thought it was a fairly entertaining race. Some good racing at the start as Marc made his way through and the cat and mouse between Dovi and Lorenzo was great! Such contrasting styles.

Funny how it was Dovi carrying all the cornerspeed, Jorge's trademark! Weird how Dovi can ride the Duc like that but Jorge can't. May have been down to tyre choice but even at the start, Lorenzo seemed to be holding people up mid corner.
Complicated situation at Ducati. I'm sure the team would have wanted to see Dovi let through to chase Marc but Lorenzo still probably considers himself top dog. Why would you let your team mate through? He's your biggest rival.

The crash was pretty crazy. Not sure anyone can get the outright blame but bit odd Lorenzo didn't catch sight of Danni or at least think to check... I'd agree it was just a racing incident. Danni tried to be cheeky and it didn't pay off. He could have played it safe and dropped in behind them.

Don't know how anyone can call it a boring race. Not a classic but it's Schumacher syndrome I suppose. I don't like Marc but I can't begrudge him that win. He really let his talent show through and avoided any bullshit moves.

  14. Comments above mention mm sliding on gravel at huge speed, the camera angle showed it well and he kept the bike online.Pedrosa and crutchlow have almost identical bikes...eddie lawson once said the others guys are free to ride faster

  15. So it is George's fault then ;)

  16. Why should Jorge let Dovi past? It's up to Dovi to pass him. The fact you say that you would love to blame Lorenzo for the crash, kind of answers my question though.

  17. Dovi needs to get more aggressive , it’s not really Lorenzo fault if he can’t get by.

  18. No its not but its costing ducati points.
