I have a Multi 950 and use a Zumo to play music through. I was thinking of having the multi media system fitted so i could use bluetooth with my phone and control via the handlebar controls. Could anyone confirm this is how it works please. Cheers
I don't know the answer my friend but I've gone with keeping things separate on my enduro. Phone to my sena bluetooth unit, gps pipes music & speed camera warnings & 'shows' directions or possible routes.
I have it on my 1200DVT , I got it all working with Sena 20S headset IPhone ,Zumo 395 sat nav, but to tell the truth it restricts what you can do, when you just pair the devices to your headset individually so I reverted back to that.
I’ve paired I phone, garmin nav and sena 10u headset to bike, but can’t for the life of me get the volume controls on the bike to work at all Anybody else managed to solve this...?
If and when somebody cracks this please let me know, everything at this moment is paired through my Sena 10u which means I have to use the supplied remote. It would be easier if I could do it through the bike controls. Also to the O/P, I thought your bike came with it, why do you have to have it fitted ?
Past weekend was the first time out with my wife in the new to me 2017 1200DVT we bought a couple of months ago. We had both communicators paired with the bike (not between themselves) and also the phone and the GPS. I could hear the GPS instructions in my helmet, but we were not able to talk among us. In one stop, I just deleted them from the Ducati´s Bluetooth menu, and pair them directly and we were able to talk. For those who have been successful connecting with the pillion, how did you do it? After reading on the internet, I guess the reason they didn´t work is because they were only paired with the bike and I have to pair them also between themselves; I guess, doing this will allow us to speak and to listen the same music through the Multimedia system. Could anybody confirm, please?
You can't pair the communicators to the bike and themselves , the system wont work that way. I had 2 sena's connected to the multimedia hub with no problem but have reverted back to pairing to each other.
Thanks for the answer jqworle. Then, I don´t know why we were not able the speak. I have a Interphone Urban dual pack and the instructions says I can be connected to 2 Bluetooth devices (GPS, phone, etc).
I don't think the Ducati Multimedia system is that useful, the US site is full of issues with pairing and general operation, volume control seems to be an issue for most people! Most Bluetooth systems work with each other quite happily, but not when connected through the bike Unless I and countless others are doing something wrong...??
The Bluetooth manufacturers are not obligated to make their newer products compatible with older versions of Bluetooth. Multistrada uses a 4.0 version while you would be hard pressed to find units that work with 4.0 anymore. Best bet is a trail and error with various units to see which one works especially streaming music. Tried Samsung and LG in ear units and do not work while Sony had too much noice while playing music. So it’s a wild goose chase. Hope Ducati offers an upgrade soon
