Good luck to the DD pack this weekend at Brands. Unfortunately I'm not racing in this first round but I'll be there in spirit. Keep it safe, all those bikes are shiny and clean so don't ruin them before I get chance to see them.
Why wont you be there Paul ? My passes arrived today...time to don the Nog's Wonder Pants and start getting excited !
I'm not acclimatised David, to go that far South, I would have needed to set off last Monday or else risk nausia and nosebleeds! Truthfully, a combination of being a bit busy, too far, to early in the year and Brands Indy is a little dull. Don't worry though, you'll have chance to show me what your class A- (or is it a B+) bike can do soon enough. Good luck, let us know how you get on.
With all the class B's moving up i might be tempted to make a class b comeback Might win some pots to take home lol
Dave, This year and the latter of last i have had little overtime which helped pay for racing so no chance really but i can dream. lol Really sorry to hear about your poor Mum mate.
I'm going to pop into Brands tomorrow to watch the afternoon racing. Taking my little lad too! Looking forward to it, not been to this meet before! Good luck guys! Who should I cheer ? ;-)
I'm not sure. There will be practice/qualifying tomorrow an then the first race. Then on Sunday, there's 2 more races. Plenty of other racing on as well.

Went today instead. Really good, bit pee'd off with myself, as I wish I had been before! Couldn't stay till the last race, but was great watching a grid full of Dukes giving it the beans! Neil Spalding even tweeted a picture of one of the Ducati's in the pits. Didn't know he wrote the regs for the class.
he wrote the original rules may years ago, I did see him as we were assembling for Race two yesterday. Sadly I had a crap weekend....bike wouldnt run smoothly no matter what I did, and ultimately I did a compression test and have only 100psi on each cylinder........should be nearer 150....oh well heads off, valve seats recut and valves lapped in, new stem seals...maybe that will sort it.....
No Chris, that engine was Steve Klee's 583, this is Andy Challis' old 620, which was originally built by Rich at Louigi for TP to cheat in the 583 class...its a 583 bottom end, 620 crank, barrels and heads..........I was trying to run it on split Mikuni 38's on short Malossi inlet tracts, but lacked set up time pre season cos of Mums illness/demise.....swapped back to the carbs that Andy had run that were tuned for that engine, but everytime we got to the bottom of Paddock Hill it bogged down terribly......we checked fuel flow in and out, emptied the tank, dried it totally, replenished with fresh fuel, went through every electrical connection meticulously, new plugs, even tried running with no tank breather in case that was pinched anywhere but all to no avail.......so after race 2 on sunday I did a compression test.....hence now needing to strip the heads......
Nice to met you & Phil yesterday Nog , it's a bit frustrating when things don't go quite to plan, so here's to the rest of the season trouble free!!!!! Dick.. (sorry for the thread hi-jack)
