The world has not gone mad, the UK has gone mad. In most places in the rest of the world people are still allowed to use common sense without nanny state interfering in their lives.

 

This thread takes me back to protractor sets in metal boxes and slide rules. Slide rules, what were they all about?

I still remember: The Old Aunt Sat On Her Coat And Hat. Tan-Opp/Adj. Sin=Opp/Hpy, CoSin=Adj/Hyp but 45 years after leaving school I have never had cause to use it!!

 

They should do away with pencils altogether and go back to slate and chalk like my day !

 

Maybe we should rename this thread ‘Nostalgia’ or ‘when I were a lad’.
