  6. Finally got a chance to wash this. The bike fared better than I did after crashing it, just a bent hand guard and number plate, both easy fixes.

Changed the oil and filter as well.

I thought it best to censor the nasty word on the engine case.

The big carpeted empty space in the background should be full of Ducati, please be ready tomorrow. If it is, there`s one big problemo, my taxi driver/son has a new job so won`t be able to give me a lift to collect it. This means, shock horror, that most heinous form of transport, a fecking bus ride!!! :cold_sweat::scream::sob:

  7. Built a tool table, cleaned my chain, fitted my throttle spacers.

Then a bit of work on the tracker for the GS, and learnt that cross threading a nut and bolt can be a ruddy tough mistake to correct! Two light turns and the thing practically welded itself in there, took two of us to untwist it.

  8. Sitting in the Land Rover waiting area having coffee and a snack. Waiting while the oil change is being done. Hardly pays to do it myself (like many years ago).
Spent the weekend at Basic Course 1 motorcycle classes. That and rushing to the range for training with my trap and skeet team made for a busy intense weekend. I am enjoying my mini vacation here at the dealership today.
Only one guy in class dumped the bike he was on...three times he went down. Finally the gear shifter broke and they put him on a different one.
It took me a day and finally I felt the confidence coming back. Was told I have good riding skills especially braking. I actually started to love the u-turns.
The afternoon instructor for the advanced class rides Ducati's (I was the only sport bike rider in my class of 12 by the way). She and her partner are not interested in riding with others though. Oh well.
Here was the bike line up. I rode a TW200, same bike I rode years ago, it was a blast.

  14. That is the funniest you've put up for a while. Really had me rolling around laughing, holding my sides.

    I didn't see it coming!
