Heads up. Just picked up my 1200s - There is a voucher scheme running until June (I think) on purchasing a monster. £250 for apparel when you buy.
I popped into the dealers yesterday to spend the £250 voucher. I was advised that I should spend all the voucher in one go. There wasn't much that I wanted so ended up not spending any of the voucher but buying myself a pair of C1 summer gloves - paid for on my debt card. I don't want to buy something for the sake of it and don't need £250 worth of Ducati T shirts. I might check out their jeans on my next visit.
I’ve been spreading my purchases of the £500 Scrambler voucher. So far I’ve bought the Ducati trickle charger, and a pair of boots. I’ve got £248 left to spend so I think I’m going to get some new goggles, new gloves, key ring, drinks bottle and a hoodie.
It is only apparel. I did look at the scrambler boots. They are TCX made, but I like a commando style sole. I have a pair of TCX Blend, that I wore on the FT, and they are great on the monster too (If you like that style of boots I would recommend them). Helmet wise, I have a Schuberth C3 Pro and, given the cost of it - and how little use it's had to date, I would like to squeeze another year out of it at least. My "wet" jacket and gloves are both Alpinestars Gore-tex and my trousers of choice are Hoods, with some Dainese Gore-tex wet weather ones as backup. I have a new Ducati Corse C3 leather jacket - Great except the number of pockets however, I can't complain, Ducati Leeds have them up on fleabay for £299. A spare trickle charger may be a good idea - not sure my dealership would think its apparel. I kept the one from the FT when I changed bikes. I have another Month to think about things.
