Yesterday replaced wheel bearings on MX bike and brake pads on commuter bike. Anyway, I need to learn to replace mx tyres, it’s a real bitch of a job and I don’t have the knack
Think I'll get up I'm sure I'll have done something by the time I get back in my scratcher, bloody trackday at donny I've missed watching ...maybe sherburn
Just about to wave Carole off on a training run at 8:30 this morning and the Diavel wouldn’t turn over. Lights up like a christmas tree and then flashes “unknown ecu device” in big red letters. Bollocks ! Lower fairing off and lever the battery out as I suspect it’s duff. Push the starter button and the voltage drops to 10v, bugger. Got the battery from the Honda NC29 that had been sitting on a maintainer since we got back from Almeria and connected it up just to check and amazingly the bike fired up, struggled to crank but kicked in fine. Quickly cobble a fixing for the much smaller battery, refit the bodywork and waved her off by 9:00. Phew ! Just waiting on her return having decided to take her out for a spot of lunch. Local pub does some amazing ribs to go with their beer. Didn’t have much to do tomorrow so fitting a new battery to the Diavel can go on my list with giving the 1098R the once over ready for Silverstone on Thursday. Andy
Just watched some of yesterday's F1 what a boring non event had enough after 10mins perhaps I was spoilt after a weekend of WSB racing at Donnington
It's the Halifax "Sexual Innuendo Prevention Group" monthly meeting at the village hall today . We had a former page 3 girl booked to give a speech but unfortunately she had to cancel . So I'm going to fill her slot .
I took the SS for an 80 mike run today. Good fun but hard work. I’m getting too old for this bike and suspect it will be up for sale this year or next.
