I drilled mine out no probs and touch wood gone from riding all time with error light to no light kept the butter fly so could always put it back on
Hi There's 2 screws holding it on didn't try to remove them just opened the butterfly valve by hand and seems fine Have left the plate cover off for the moment so I can spray wd40 up the cable to see if that helps
As been said trillion times lol easy to remove just drill welds off screws remove with pliers then slide butterfly out can always put it back in if needed
The more annoying bit for me was the message and the engine light on. once the message is gone I'm fine
