Lorenzo To Retire?

  1. I suspect that Dorna want to keep Lorenzo in MotoGP and so will contribute significantly to any team that wants him, just like I believe they did when Rossi returned to Yamaha. I suspect that he will be on a satellite Yamaha next year, possibly on a bike that is very close to being a full factory bike. Yamaha currently don’t have a satellite team for next season which, as far as Dorna are concerned, is bad for MotoGP so Dorna will do whatever they have to to make it happen and if it keeps Lorenzo in MotoGP at the same time that’s all good in Dorna’s books.

  3. Still just rumours, but coming from more and more reliable sources as time goes on.
     
  4. Jonathan Rea is reported as evaluating factory MotoGP offers for next year, maybe JLo is swapping with Rea?
     
  5. Reported by who? He said on a BBC news interview last week that he wasn't considering it as he knew his place.
     
  6. Not seen anyone go from WSB to motogp and win a championship as yet,but the other way round names come to mind MAX Biaggi / Carlos Checa...so based on that Lorenzo has all the tools in the box to win it:thinkingface:

  10. Bayliss I think would have had a chance if decent machinery. If Rae went, it would have to be on factory front runner or what’s the point?!
     
  11. Didn't Bayliss win his last race on a ducati in motogp:thinkingface:for me i think you need to grow up and race from day one as a racer with the moto3/moto2/moto1 circuits to have any chance of winning the GP titles:thinkingface:

  13. There is something in that for sure. To be a success in MGP you have to able to communicate the smallest of chassis changes, and as the bike is so customisable it’s crucial to make those assessments and maximise any change

  15. Oh yeah, I forgot Mick raced around in the 30s on a Brough Superior on none of the circuits used today. :rolleyes:
