Just fitted the MRA screen in preparation for a Euro trip. Wow, what a difference, it’s almost too effective - superbike speed is easy.
That’s the one. No pics unfortunately, I’ll get one later. Looks good from some angles and not from others. Transformational from a buffeting perspective but I’m not sure that’s a good thing.
I'll be honest, none of the screens look very good to me. It's a matter of picking the least ugly from a range of horrendous efforts At 6ft 3 I'm hardly short, and having ridden to the black forest last year and another nurburgring trip planned as of July 5th I've never felt the need for one. Wind blast for me isn't really a problem on this, compared to other naked bikes I've had (s1000r / v4 Tuono / SF) it seems to cut through or disturb the air better even without a screen
I agree, they’re ugly and my V4 1100 was worse. For good or bad, 130 does feel like 90 now. I’ll definitely be thankful for any stints on the autobahn.
I don’t usually find wind an issue but after taking my Tuono overseas with a bunch of superbikes I wanted something to help with any motorway stints. I think it will be coming off when I get back, it’s way too easy to go >130, and I don’t think that’s a good thing - plus it now looks like Kryten with a bearskin.
Thanks for the help blokes, order is in, slightly changed as didn't like the powerparts tail tidy, so I ordered an Evotech unit, and I binned the orange and black brake and clutch levers as they were a little over the top with some of the other bits I have selected (going to order some ASV levers in black). Final spec is..... White/Orange 2018 SDR as all the 2017 models were gone. Full Akra Evo kit Wave disks front and back. Factory Triple clamp (orange) Brake, clutch and footbrake reservoir covers in orange billet Ergo powerparts seat Rear seat hump Carbon ignition lock cover Carbon front mudguard Track pack Performance pack Just gotta wait now, as some of the parts were not available in the shop, so he's ordered them in, then a day to fit it all....
Whey, good work mate If you want a fancy sticker to protect the seat hump (see my previous pictures) email [email protected]. He designed and shipped mine for circa £15. Also get some 3m tape on the forks as they attract stone chips.
DMC in Brum mate, as he was by far the best deal. P&H quoted 9k to change with the above bits, DMC are at 6500 plus my Mutley (Thats with them doing the tyre and service thats due). Some of the bits (wave disks, triple clamp etc) were totally unnecessary but at 6500, I thought, why not ?
Just looking forward to see how long it will take you to buy a multi 1260 as a second bike lol, I reckon straight after the first 10 day trip abroad lol, can we have a poll on that please
Possibly, time will tell ?? I do sincerely love Mutleys, but you can't not love that 1301cc KTM motor It has nearly has much torque as my ZZR, but 60 odd kilos less
Heli or helicopter tape does the job, they do colours too but clear is the most popular just an example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-Clear...m=172849230811&_trksid=p2045573.c100506.m3226
