Did a track day yesterday and by the end of the day, it became impossible to get the bike into neutral (unless i switched the engine off). With the clutch pulled in, the bike was still trying to move forward and pulling off was very grabby and the lever was only just away from the bar. Any ideas? Its a standard clutch slave (not oberon). Was thinking I’d start by bleeding the clutch. Any other ideas as to the cause?
Yep just bleed the clutch but also check that the bolts holding the gear linkage rod haven't come loose, which has happened to me leading to a very similar feeling to the clutch not disengaging.
Inspect the slave unit to see if theres any leakage. Usually visible as fluid runs down sidestand too. The seal may have gone. Also worth checking knurled lever adjuster hasnt been loosened off by some mates who think its funny.
Awesome let us know how you get On! My 1299 is sometimes difficult to get into neutral, wondering if a clutch bleed would help!
Have finally got around to bleeding the clutch. The lever feels better, but not as good as I hoped. I’ll be riding it tomorrow, so i’ll Let you know if it’s solved the issue
