Took the quickshifter off the Blade. What a chew on, I’d forgotten how difficult it was to remove the tank and air box
Bro 2 who we've been staying with and looking after, has bought himself an electric bike (bicycle) to help get himself fit again. I went out and did 10k on it yesterday, up and down some serious hills. I was so impressed I'm going out on it again this morning. Then in the afternoon I'm firing up my Monster 1200s and I'm going to wring the shit out of it.
I went into the Bank today and told the Cashier that I wanted to open a joint account. "Who with?" she asked "Whoever's got the most money"
Today (well last night) I bought this to do up. Mot until March 19 so will be using it as I refurb her Now just have to finish off the Beetle and sell it to pay for some interior and paint
SWMBO's birthday today, so we are going out for a nice meal this evening in our favourite restaurant in Leeds.
When you're next over this way give Rabbit in the Moon a go. It's on the top floor of the Urbis building (football museum). Similar standard to Grafene. What's your favourite in Leeds?
Will try that in the next couple of weeks This is our current fave - http://tharavadurestaurants.com/ - It's not a typical Indian. It's Keralan food which is much subtler and very tasty. You have to book about 6 weeks in advance to get a table at a decent time (7pm and later) otherwise you can only get in around 5.30/6pm. After 6pm it's rammed, and it has been ever since we discovered it a couple of years ago, so it's not just a fad as can be the case sometimes. I'd definitely recommend it.
Sounds wonderful, will pencil it in for my birthday! Incidentally the chef (Michael O'Hare) at Rabbit in the Moon started out at his restaurant in Leeds, The Man Behind a The Curtain, must give that a go somewhere soon. Have a good dinner.
Yeah its a 1971 T2a with the original rear lights before they swapped them over in 72, had a look at a Splitty at the weekend but too much to do to get out where it needed to be so opted for this one. Prices for the T2's are steadily increasing so hoping its worth more than I paid for it a couple of years. Beetle needs the refurbed front beam re-installing, electrics rewired in the front and interior swapped over then it will be sold (Got all the bits in the garage/house to do the Beetle but need time as the decent weather has meant playing on the 2 wheeled toy but now got a purpose to get it done lol). Hopefully all done and sold before end of Aug/Sept.
Trying to find enough time each day to get things done, including posting here. Spent the past week moving my son back to Minnesota from Kentucky. He graduated and now has his PhD. Yay (he's awesome)! He'll be staying with us until his new job starts in San Francisco next month. I will be going to help with that move too. @wroughtironron looking forward to seeing the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time myself. Meanwhile he and I have been doing a little riding. He has his 4 motorcycles here. I also participated in a group ride this past Sunday. Local Legion Riders raise money to help fund projects that support veterans living with PTSD and TBI. Sunday they donated $45,000 between three different groups. It was very emotional. My brother in law, sister, sister in law and brother were also there. They had a total of 180 participants. I rode my Svartpilen 401, smallest bike there. They had Harley's, Victory's, 3 wheelers and classic cars otherwise-couldn't fit the whole crowd into the pic. Next time I plan to ride my Monster. This morning I'm finishing up some preparations for the high school trap and skeet team championships then heading out to run errands and meet my husband later to shoot with our trap team.
Left one place of work to go the the other earlier and saw a full size digger on its side on the Nottingham ring road. No pictures from me as I was on the bike but this is online now. https://www.nottinghampost.com/news/local-news/nottingham-ring-road-crash-closed-1640456
