Define “nice”... I go a lot cos it’s really handy and I hate getting up stupid early and I like my own bed. Apart from that...it’s shite!
I don't mind brands. Apart from the hole in my knee and elbow from Druids, the rashing up my back and cracked ribs from paddock hill, and broken elbow and hole in other elbow from Graham Hill, its always been good to ride
This isn't sounding encouraging. I seem to remember the surroundings were very pretty but I would have been about 10 at the time and also liked making model airplanes so may not have been of entirely sound mind. What I mean is; is it a nice circuit to ride with a sound modern surface or does it belong in the 50's like Castle Combe? Oh and hurry up with the answers, it's a long drive from Geneva and if it's shit, I'd much rather not lug a bike with me!
They race BSB there, so its as good as it gets on the UK. Bit slippy oil the wet tho, especially clearways because the caber changes.
Its small and popular as so close to London. Circuit itself is fine the problem is to many riders, you'll be forever overtaking or being overtaken. Its probably better in fast group due to more similar speeds but junior and inters is a bit manic in my opinion. However, it's much better than no track day
More Yamaha pretending to be Ducati, this time in Cartegena. Reaching down to pick up a penny I dropped on the previous lap. Nice to just mess around posing on a track day after the seriousness of the race weekends. Really felt like I learnt a few things being able to play around at silly buggers and hopefully it will convert into better lap times once it sinks in. View attachment 120364
Ha ha, no chance of that. I'm using the R just to pose around the south of England a bit whilst I'm over. My S is coming over seperately early next week, that's going on the track!
First time at Silverstone GP on the 848 for Ducati trackday. Posted 2:36s which seemed to be good enough to keep up with some of the big Panigales and V4s in fast group.
Cheers @Nelson, I learned so much trying to follow you around (unsuccessfully), had a great day but ache like hell today
