V4 England Speciale Delivery Dates

I’m in same boat. Was told May delivery. Now all Ducati will say is “we are building them in order” but won’t say where I am in that order. Mine will have standard wheels, so that isn’t the reason for the delay. Can only think that the recalls are delaying things, or other parts are in short supply. They are having major issues with their move to new parts warehouse as well

 

I got the call today from my dealer to say Speciale is delayed until end of year now and was told it was because of the mag wheel issues and recalls they have on V4’s. Meeting with dealer tomorrow to discuss options as don’t want bike in November and start warranty for it to sit there for 6 months.

If i can delay it until 2019 I will be happier...

 

I ordered and paid deposit for my allocation in November 17. Seems something has changed at factory, hoping to find out more later

 

Same with mine (Germany though so must be the entire production line). I have asked my dealer to maybe source me something else and as I have just bought the 1098R in my profile pic, I'm happy to wait and not have a warranty clock ticking away over our very long winter in the Alps.

 

Can someone please tell me what you get for the extra £15000 plus over the base model............i.e is the extra justified

Just been up to Ducati Peterborough to look at a Speciale that was being picked up today and have to say the wait is going to be absolutely worth it. Visually the bike is stunning and the Akra sounds nuts. Delay at this stage is due to factory supply issues and am hoping to have more news from Ducati UK in next couple of weeks.

I was considering not taking the bike but haven’t exercised that option...

But are they limited edition? If they are then their residuals might hold up a bit better. But I doubt the margins will be earth shattering.

 

Oh, articulating brake and clutch levers I think.... It's all adding up....
