Well finally after six months on stands and probably a year since i last rode it the 916 came out to play for a sixty mile shake down trip,Some new fastners/front tyre/fuel filter/plugs/chain and sprockets,New mindset riding required for the G cams and race pattern gearchange but no f@@k up's today so very pleased, but i still have a technical issues:when accelerating fast the motor hesitates,,any pointers would be appreciated
Ordered new front M7 for the Panigale and gave the Monster a really good clean. Now it needs a good polish. The Pani could do with a wasn n brush up too.
You done anything to the engine. Going back a few years, Bob Farnham had a look at mine, it was quite quick after that.
Fitted a seal/rebuild kit to a radial front brake master. Every day is a school day when you own a Honda
Any pointers? Get rid cheap before it cost you a fortune. . BTW I may be after a 916 if you are looking to sell...
No, I’m leaving it standard the pipes have given it an extra eight bhp and a chunk in the mid range. It’s running slightly rich which I’m ok with as I’m not chasing ultimate power like some of the guys. My thoughts are that these are 30 plus year old bikes and have real world performance in the 80-100mph range but if I want to go fast I’ll use another bike. I might go for an ignitech programmable ignition but for the moment I’m just going to enjoy it for what it is. Dave was showing me his rs250 with a 470 engine running 100 ish bhp but he’s got 10k in that not counting his dyno time which he thought was about 80 hours
Thats the one Ron, Bryan built the engine in your LC and is in the middle of building an LC/RGV for someone.
